Where did the idea for Unleesh come from?
Unleesh was born inside a company called ThinkImpact in 2013. ThinkImpact sent college and graduate students on full-immersion programs in Africa and Latin America before it was sold in 2018. Years of sending groups to travel led to some simple ideas that form the core of Unleesh: connecting travelers to each other, delivering onboarding and training content in a way that is efficient, scalable and fun, and making the experience of the trip the highlight. Running trips taught us a lot about the legwork required to coordinate so many people, often coming from many places, to experience something together. We streamlined it. Unleesh is the result.
What is gtOS and how does it help me?
Unleesh is a group travel management platform that makes registering, onboarding, and managing travel experiences simple and efficient. It connects travelers, streamlines preparation, centralizes communication, and helps capture key moments along the journey. Unleesh enables smooth, secure, and connected experiences from pre-trip planning through real-time, on-the-ground coordination and beyond!
How do you handle payments?
There are two ways to manage payments. Either the Organizer can pay per user or the Organizer can charge participants for the program on the platform and the fee for the platform is deducted from the payment automatically. We use Stripe payments and are set up to send payments directly to the Organizer account (less the platform fee and transaction fee) without the money for your programs ever touching our bank.
What does it cost?
Most trips land in into our standard 3 tier structure: First 20 travelers in a group are $18 per user, next 80 are $15/user and then over 100 users, it's $12/user. This applies whether you have Participants sign up and pay directly or if you set it up for the Organizer to pay.
